Dali Muxi Dali · Huoshan Hotel
Dali Muxi Dali · Huoshan Hotel, nestled on the volcanic slopes above Erhai Lake in Dali, China, is a 23-room sanctuary conceived by architect Baxun over 12 years. This boutique retreat, opened in 2025, is a testament to raw material architecture, blending local volcanic stone, weathered timber, and crimson accents. Each room is meticulously designed with bespoke interiors, featuring Frédéric Malle toiletries and Dyson fittings, offering panoramic views of Erhai Lake and the Cangshan Mountains. The hotel's Shanjian Restaurant draws guests from across Dali with its seasonal menus, fusing local Yunnan produce with Western techniques. Muxi Huoshan is more than a hotel; it is a cultural statement and an architectural experiment, offering a unique blend of Bai culture, contemporary design, and healing solitude.
