Amankora
Amankora — 'peaceful passage' in Dzongkha — is not a single hotel but five intimate lodges distributed across Bhutan's five most sacred valleys: Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, and Bumthang. Each lodge holds between eight and sixteen suites, their architecture drawing on the traditional Bhutanese dzong style — rammed earth walls, timber beams, and slate roofs. The Kora itinerary — travelling between all five lodges over ten to fourteen nights — is the finest way to experience the Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon. The Aman Spa at each lodge incorporates local hot-stone bath and medicinal herb traditions.
An iconic Buddhist monastery perched on a cliffside, offering breathtaking views and a spiritual trekking experience.
A majestic fortress-monastery at the confluence of two rivers, renowned for its stunning architecture and historical significance.
A massive bronze Buddha statue overlooking Thimphu Valley, offering panoramic views and a sense of spiritual tranquility.
